AMELIA'S STORY

UPDATE: Amelia has been adopted and now has a guaranteed wonderful life ahead of her. Her daughter Lily is now with her in the same home.  They are having a ball together!

My name is Amelia Earhart, so named because I’m said to have “airplane ears”.  Particularly when I’m sleeping, my ears go straight out, perhaps because I’ve come in for a landing!  I’m a young gentle kitty who needs a home.  I’m super healthy and downright sturdy, yet feminine.  And nobody else has ears as adorable as mine!

I’m a young cat and a single mom.  There are lots of us in my position – we had the kids young and now they’ve left home and we need a home of our own.  We want to forget those days of abandonment by irresponsible past owners…who tossed us simply because we were “in a family way.”  They didn’t have us spayed and, long story short, we were in quite a predicament before rescue.

I’m a very gentle and quiet kitty who would like to find someone of the same nature with whom to spend my entire life.  I’m happy to nap during the day to wait for you to come home.  Then I would love to hang out with you, be your best friend, and snuggle up with you at night in a comfy bed.  Because of my extremely gentle nature, I prefer adults in a nice quiet indoors setting.  Oh, I do get along well with other cats if they aren’t too pushy.
