BEANS' STORY

UPDATE January 2012:  Beans continues to enjoy sharing a bachelor pad with his "dad".  He is a long term/permanent foster and always reminds us when he is out of treats and catnip!  Beans is a cool cat and loves hanging out with the guys.

UPDATE: Beans is in a foster-to-adopt home.  We are not 100% sure his new "dad" will be able to keep him permanently, so this is a "long term foster" until the future is more certain. Beans is very happy and getting lots of attention!

Yup, he’s fulla beans!  Very playful and affectionate – that’s our Beanie!  He is a young neutered male, around one-year-old, who needs an indoors home.  Beans is the son of Mrs. Beatrice Beans, also on our website.

Beans and his mom were left behind when someone moved and couldn’t keep them.  The two lived together in a shed outside in the cold winter and were fed by neighbours before coming to us.  Beanie is now ready to leave mom and get a home of his own.  Actually, his mom is quite tired of his high energy.

Beans is absolutely adorable with his stately Roman nose.  He is a very affectionate lap cat and also very feisty.  He would not be good around small children as he would be too rough.  He would have a great time with adults who know when a cat has had enough playing and it is time to stop.  He is really quite gentle but also quite active!

Beanie has a lot of love to give and deserves a loving foster or permanent home of his own.  He is a dominant cat and can be very pushy with other cats, sometimes bullying them.  He would be best as an only-cat with his own home.

Beans needs an INDOORS only nonsmoking home with no access to the outside.  Being young and active, he would get into major trouble outside and likely be hit by a car.  He should have no access to a patio unless it has been modified so he couldn’t jump on the railings or get under them.

Can you give Beanie the love and play time he needs and deserves?  He will give you his heart and lots of cuddles.  He will wait while you are at work and be ready to play when you get home.  We expect Beanie to get a home in a short time, so please email or call Helping Homeless Cats soon at 778-426-2426 in North Saanich.
