CHINOOK'S STORY

UPDATE April 2011: Chinook has been adopted along with his brother Paddington.  They are with a lovely young woman and her kitty “Baby”.  They are enjoying their new home and bravely exploring everything.  Other than a little warning hiss here and there, Baby is accepting her new roommates - following them around and keeping an eye on them.

Chinook is a 10-month-old who is quiet and congenial.  He is a very handsome black and white kitty who was born last summer to mother Spike (who has since been spayed).  Chinook and his brother Paddington were nurtured and fed by their helpful rescuer Kelly and especially liked her daily serving of cat milk.  She spent time with “Nookie” and his brother Paddington and got them used to being with humans and beginning to trust them after their early life outside.  They also got to know her cat Shania and so from the very beginning have not been afraid of other cats.

Then Nookie came into our rescue a few months ago along with his brother Paddy and both were still working on trust-building.  They went to a fabulous foster home with Catherine who worked with them and handled them a lot, helping them gain confidence.  They also had a lot of high quality play time with her.  Paddy and Nookie were quite the explorers, still maintaining their kitten curiosity and sweetness but getting to be very big kitties.  Nookie has been gaining confidence but is still a bit shy compared to his brother.  We would like them to be adopted together as Chinook would do much better if he could stay with Paddington and maintain their bond.

Finally they are ready for adoption!
