Welcome to the
Helping Homeless Cats website
Helping Homeless Cats is a
volunteer-run organization dedicated to rescuing cats in
the Greater Victoria area. We are committed to striving for a world where all
animals are treated with respect
and compassion. We believe all life is valuable and we
attempt to improve the quality of life for cats in our care, whether they be
domestic or feral. We advocate for responsible pet ownership to help end the
pain and suffering of all cats. We work closely with
other rescue organizations to meet the needs of all cats in our community.
We are a small group and focus our limited resources on the rescue and placement of abandoned domestic cats. We also work to rescue feral cats through "TNR" (trap, spay/neuter, release). When possible, we place cats with seniors in assisted living and support this program through volunteers and sponsors. We also depend on fostering and adoption of all our rescued cats.
We ensure the sterilization of all animals prior to adoption to address the issue of companion animal overpopulation and homelessness.
