JAMES
BOND'S STORY
When
James was rescued he was very shy and scared.
However, he loved other cats and bonded with them instantly.
He needed to work on trust-building with people.
He was a strikingly
handsome cat in his “formal” black tuxedo.
To bolster his confidence we gave him the name “James Bond”!
James was in a foster home
where he has gradually gained a bit more confidence over a few months.
He was a very sweet fellow but still shy with people, but gradually
gained confidence with his foster mom and dad.
He shared the home with two other cats who at first simply tolerated him
and later accepted him. He
followed them around and tried very hard to win their friendship.
James escaped from his foster home but was retrieved.
Later he had a new foster
home, but was quite an escape artist and got out immediately.
He was on the lamb for a few months. When he was brought back
inside he did well for awhile but it appeared he had had an injury while
outside. He had a complex
condition where his intestines had been jarred up around his lungs.
As James gained weight and began to look like his old self, he
began to have a breathing problem and that is when his condition was
discovered. James was very ill
and could not live a normal life with this condition.
James Bond was a darling boy and is greatly missed. We are glad we were
able to provide some quality time for him and sorry that he got outdoors
where there are many, many dangers. |
