KOALA GIRL'S STORY
Koala
Girl is the friendliest cat we’ve ever met!
She is adorable and loves all people and all cats.
She does indeed resemble a koala bear cub with her funny little
face and tufts of fur on each side of her nose.
She has a little half-curl tail.
She is 8
years old and healthy except for an occasional cough.
She has been seen for this with differing opinions - that it might
be a result of some upper respiratory illness when she was young or a
herpes virus. Most of the time
she is fine but now and then she has a period where the coughing is more
persistent.
Koala is
always where the action is! She
loves to follow one person around but also loves to be part of a big
group. If people aren’t
available or interested she will seek another cat to follow around or hang
out with. She will rub up
against other cats, give them kisses, and flop down in front of them and
stare up. She would
probably be okay with a docile dog.
If no one will play or hang out then she entertains herself with toys.
She often runs in circles with her toy mice and then buries them in
her foster mom’s bed (where she insists on sleeping every night).
She loves to bask in the sun on the balcony, but runs inside if the
wind comes up. She loves being
indoors only and that is safest for all cats.
Koala is very well behaved and doesn’t jump on the table or countertops
and doesn’t scratch furniture! Her
nickname is Lovebug because she loves to be cuddled and scratched
(although doesn't seem to like being picked up).
She’s a bit of a talker and meows when she's hungry or wants
attention. She absolutely
loves scratching her large cat post and in every way is a Good Girl.
One vet said she should not be around other cats but other vets have not
felt it was a problem and is no more contagious than any upper respiratory
illness and that most cats have been vaccinated for this.
If the adopter has a healthy cat there will probably be no problem
but their own vet should be consulted about this before adoption.
Koala
Girl has every good quality and no bad habits.
