LACY'S STORY

UPDATE:  Lacy is being adopted by a very nice couple who are also taking Scotty along with her.  Perhaps she can show Scotty how easy it is to trust people.

My name is Lacy because I am the most feminine of all the felines.  I have gorgeous silky fur, puffy pantaloons, a very elegant plume tail, and a cute pixie face.  I am a tortoise shell kitty with many unique pastel shades to my coloring – all very soft and luxurious.  I am truly one-of-a-kind!

I’m a very sweet young girl and once I get to know someone I am very affectionate.  I don’t jump into laps (yet, anyway) because I am too refined for that sort of rowdy behavior.  I’m much more formal and love the subtleties of rubbing by someone’s legs rather casually as a sign of affection.  Head petting is dreamy and is my favorite.

I’ve been watching Lori, a tabby who lives with me, and she is very tom-boyish and head-butts people and snuggles into their hair if they bend down to her.  I must say this looked rather like fun, so dear me, I did decide to sneak up one day and give it a try (right next to her!) and, oh my, I can see where it could become a habit.  I’ve heard this kind of thing can lead to lap-sitting and with the right person I will eventually give it a try after we have an established serious relationship.

My background is not pleasant and I hate to admit that I had lice, picked up when I was down and out (literally) and it was getting worse and worse.  Luckily I was rescued.  After many months I am now very proud of my soft and regal coat.

I’m a quiet adult kind of lady, very refined and gentle.  I’d like a home with a lady or gentleman or couple with the same temperament and no kids.  I want an indoors nonsmoking home where my fur will remain clean and beautiful.  After my past experiences, I don’t want the harshness of the outdoors anymore, thank you!  I do get along with other cats as long as they realize the unspoken rule that I am Queen of the Household.
