LUCY'S STORY

Little Lucy is a very affectionate and loving kitty. She was a little waif in the snow last winter, living in the brush behind a senior condo complex near a busy intersection in Victoria. A wonderful lady began feeding Lucy on her patio. The building did not allow cats, so she made a bed for Lucy on the patio and fed her every day. Fortunately, Lucy made it through the winter with the help of this woman and her neighbours and also her thick coat!

By spring Lucy had gained weight but had a matted coat from being outside in the elements. We talked to her rescuer and helped her by taking Lucy to the vet for dematting and an exam. Not wanting to put her back at risk outdoors in the busy area, we all agreed it was best to find a good safe indoor home for her. Several of the seniors got together and donated to our rescue which was also very welcome!
