MOSES' STORY
Everyone agrees that I’m strikingly handsome with a lion-shaped face. My fur is grey with taupe undertones – really quite lovely. I am a gentle old gentleman and wouldn’t hurt a flea, although I hasten to add I have none of those! I’m very sweet and love to meet new people and put my front paws in their lap. If I have two visitors at the same time I walk back and forth between them, sharing my affection. I have been undergoing medical care and my problem remains a bit of a mystery. I needed extensive dental work and did have surgery for the worst of it. That was a relief as I was having extreme pain. I’m quite old and frail, so the vet didn’t do all my needed dental work at one time and we’ll do more later when I’m up to it. I have bouts of eating two cans of wet food every day, gaining weight, and doing well – and then droop a little, don’t feel like eating, and lose weight. I’ve had excellent medical care all along from that fabulous Beacon Cat Clinic and I like going there. I’m so comfy there that I nearly fall asleep on their counter during my exams! Sometimes I stay overnight for more monitoring and they always get me back on my feet. There’s a lot of activity there and it helps to pep me up. They give me a lot of good care, good food, and good hugs! We all hope that someday I’ll have my problems behind me and be strong enough for a foster or permanent home, but in the meantime I really like my life at the rescue and my visits to Beacon Cat Clinic where they help me feel better during my bad spells. Moses
has a great sponsor who visits him weekly, donates for his care, and brings
lots of treats! Moses has been adopted by his sponsor who will continue his care. Helping Homeless Cats will be staying in close touch with Moses since his "mom" is a volunteer for HHC and spends a lot of time helping with all the rescue cats here. Also, when his mom must travel Moses will stay in his old room here at HHC. We look forward to a continued close relationship with Moses! |
