OSCAR'S STORY

Oscar was a wonderful old gentleman!  He was not with us a long time, but the time he was here was very special and memorable. 

Oscar was very laid back and confident.  He was affectionate and loved people.  He ignored other cats for the most part and preferred the company of humans.  Even though he was old and frail he loved to make his way to the countertops through a series of steps he found. 

Oscar had a lovely foster home for awhile but the other cat in the home would not accept him after a very serious effort to make it work out.  He then came back to the rescue. 

He was a favorite of all visitors and was friendly to everyone he met.  To know him was to love him! 

His body began to fail him sooner than we had expected and he was very fortunate to spend his last couple of months in a warm and loving foster home with Al and Grace, a very special couple who have helped many cats with difficulties.  They took care of Oscar to the end and gave him the love and nurturing he deserved so very much.
