RIO

UPDATE JUNE 2011:  Rio has finally been adopted !  He was in a foster home with a Donnie, a senior, for a few months.  When Donnie went into a nursing home, Rio went to a foster home with a man and his son.  Now Rio has a forever home with a single guy and Rio immediately fit in as though he had been there for years.  Also, the guy's girl friend is there often and Rio refers to his relationship with her as "love at first sight!"

UPDATE May 2011: Rio is feeling very secure and confident now.  When new people come into the home he goes and sits next to them.

Rio is a very friendly middle-aged neutered male who is very interactive and likes to play. Rio is happiest in a setting where he is the only cat. He loves to live with male humans who are his favorites. He’d love to be pals with a single guy where they can hang out together.

Rio is a very affectionate cat who craves attention and likes to stick close by his human. He was in a foster home with a senior and bonded with him from day one. Rio changed foster homes when this person had to move due to his health.

Rio is now in a foster home with two men and he’s having a great time. Their townhouse has stairs which is great as he needs exercise. He is a BIG boy and has a big tomcat frame to hold much of his weight but ideally could use maybe a pound or two reduction. This is a great foster home, but they prefer to foster rather than adopt – so Rio ultimately needs to find a permanent home, but he is in no rush to move. He is waiting for just the right single guy to come along who’d love a buddy like him to come home to.
