UPDATE December 2011: Sasha's foster mom on Mayne Island has decided to provide a permanent home for her.  Sasha is delighted with this plan!

UPDATE June 2011:  Sasha has a wonderful foster home for the summer on Mayne Island and is enjoying herself with her foster mom.  She will be looking for a permanent home this winter. 

First things first, I’m gorgeous – with nice golden tabby markings and a great figure. I’m charming company when I want to be – and I will want to be if you don’t rush me. I need time to ease into a relationship and then like lots of chin rubs, massages, petting, and cuddles – but I don’t really want to jump in your lap. How about you – do you like to jump in people’s laps? Well, maybe if I get to know someone really, really well I will consider it over time…

I did not like being around all those cats at the Pound and I now have my very own room with "Helping Homeless Cats". For the first week here I was a bit, well, snooty – just trying to get my bearings. For awhile I was in a nice foster home with dogs and they were okay but I could do just as well without them, thank you. I encouraged the people to pet me and I did love it! I’m confident, not shy, very intelligent, gentle, and have an interesting personality. I like to rub by people’s legs.

 I now have my own private suite with a nice window and cushy bed. I was a little confused at first, adjusting to new territory. Now I’m happy and content and like to cuddle late at night and in the morning – even like to lie on people! I love my breakfast served on time and then I settle in for a big nap. If you go to work all day that will be just fine with me. I value my quality alone time! Then in the evening I’m glad to have some companionship.
